How to use this supplemental coverage with another dental plan
With Assurant Supplemental dental insurance coverage, you can further maximize your cost savings by combining it with another plan.  Since this is a indemnity insurance plan, you can be paid directly by the insurance company according to the policy schedule.  If you use this plan with another insurance policy, the insurance companies will co-ordinate benefits to make sure that combined, they don't pay more than the actual charge for the services. Not all plans can be used in combination with other dental coverage and at times, the monthly amount you pay for two plans is not cost effective.

One scenario that may work for you is to combine this supplemental plan with a discount dental plan.  Discount dental plans are very inexpensive and can save you quite a bit of money for nearly all dental procedures.  The dental providers that accept discount plans are contracted to provide discounts on their services and then you simply pay the remainder directly to the dental office.  You would then file a claim for the remainder of the bill under your supplemental dental policy.
