Medical Evacuation Coverage
This web page has a brief description of the benefits of the Diplomat Med-E-Vac program. A complete description is contained in the plan summary, which is mailed to you upon your enrollment in the program. All coverage's are in US Dollar amounts. Coverage can only begin when the correct premium and a complete application are received by Global Underwriters Agency Inc. There is no medical coverage under this plan. Global Underwriters offers these other plans: Diplomat America, Diplomat International, and Diplomat LT for medical reimbursement.

Who Is Eligible For This Coverage?
Foreign nationals traveling to the USA; US Citizens traveling abroad and individuals traveling outside their home country are eligible. Coverage is available for you, your spouse and unmarried dependent children. A dependent child is from 14 days to 18 years of age and traveling with the parent, grandparent or legal guardian.

Period Of Coverage
Coverage can be purchased by US Citizens traveling abroad and individuals traveling outside their home country. Coverage is available for 3, 6 or 12 months to suit your travel needs. There are two plans from which to choose.

Effective Date
Coverage will begin on the later of the following:

  • Your departure from your Home Country or Country of Residence; or
  • The date your complete application and correct premium are received by Global Underwriters Agency Inc.; or
  • The effective date requested on the application.

Expiration Date
Coverage will end on the earlier of the following:

  • Your return to your Home Country or Country of Residence; or
  • Twelve months after your coverage's effective date; or
  • The termination date shown on the certificate, for which premium has been paid.

Accidental Death And Dismemberment
If an Insured Person's Injury results in any of the following losses within 365 days after the date of accident; we will pay the sum shown opposite the loss. We will not pay more than the Principal Sum for all losses due to the same accident. The amount of Principal Sum is determined in the Schedule.

The term "loss" as used herein shall mean, with regard to hands feet, actual severance through or above wrist or ankle joint, and regard to eyes, entire irrecoverable loss of sight.

Worldwide assistance services are available for emergency and non-emergency services 24 hours a day, every day of the year, while and any covered family members are traveling abroad. Some of the services include:

  • Foreign exchange rate information
