Accident Medical / Critical Illness Insurance: Metal Gap
Even with an Obamacare health insurance plan, the financial impact of an accident or serious illness can strain your budget. Metal Gap 2 from The IHC Group provides payments, made directly to you, when a covered critical illness or accident occurs. Plans include options for Accident Medical, Critical Illness, Accidental Death and Dismemberment and Inpatient / Outpatient Surgery.
Because the payment is sent directly to you, it can be used to pay for your health plan’s deductible or other cost-sharing, or for everyday expenses such as rent, a mortgage, a car payment or credit card bills. And just like your Obamacare plan, Metal Gap 2 is a guarantee issue plan, meaning you cannot be turned down for coverage based on your health history.
Availability – Metal Gap 2 is available in the following states: AK, AL, AR, AZ, DC, DE, FL, GA, HI, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, LA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MS, MT, NC, NE, NM, NV, OH, OK, OR, RI, SC, SD, TX, UT, WI, WV, WY. Availability is subject to change.
Care Access Plan - Hospital Indemnity
Large medical bills, expected or not, can be stressful. Oftentimes, consumers must meet their health insurance deductible before plan benefits fully kick in. Hospital indemnity plans can help reduce out-of-pocket costs by paying fixed benefit amounts for covered medical expenses resulting from hospitalization or surgery.
This type of coverage may be the right fit if you are looking for:
- Coverage for unexpected hospitalization or surgery charges, with varying levels of benefits and price points
- Flexibility to choose any doctor or hospital, with additional cost savings available via access to network providers
- Lump-sum benefit payments for ambulance, chemotherapy and radiation, and an added critical illness benefit
Availability – The Care Access Plan is available in the following states: AL, AR, AZ, CA, DC, DE, FL, GA, IA, ID, IL, IN, KY, LA, ME, MI, MO, MS, MT, NC, NE, NM, NV, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, WI, WV, WY. Availability is subject to change.
